Learn how Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises can create effective business challenges for Gen-Z teams

What is Vybe Sprint for SMEs?

Vybe Sprint connects Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) with Gen-Z teams for 2-week innovation challenges. As an SME, you can post real business briefs (short projects or challenges) that Gen-Z participants execute in two-week sprints.

This allows you to:

  • Get fresh perspectives on your business challenges
  • Access Gen-Z talent and innovative solutions
  • Test ideas quickly with minimal commitment
  • Build relationships with emerging talent
  • Solve real business problems in just 2 weeks
How to Get Started

Important: SME accounts must be created by a platform administrator. You cannot self-register.

1. Request Access

Contact the platform administrator to request an SME account. Provide your email address, name, and company name.

2. Sign In

Once your account is created, sign in using your email and OTP (One-Time Password). You'll receive a valid OTP via email when you sign in.

3. Access SME Dashboard

After signing in, you'll be redirected to the SME Dashboard where you can create and manage your challenge briefs.

Creating Effective Challenge Briefs

A well-crafted brief is essential for getting quality solutions. Here's how to create an effective challenge brief:

Title (8-120 characters)

Be specific and descriptive. Include the main goal or problem. Example: "Boost footfall for Acme Café"

Objective (12-300 characters)

Clearly state what you want to achieve. Be specific about metrics or goals. Example: "Drive 15% uplift in weekend visits through targeted marketing campaigns"

KPIs (3-200 characters)

List 2-4 measurable Key Performance Indicators. Use clear, industry-standard metrics. Example: "CTR, coupon redemptions, footfall increase"

Constraints (3-200 characters)

Specify any limitations, budget constraints, or requirements teams should know about. Be clear about what's not allowed.

Pathway

Choose the outcome pathway:

  • interview: Top performers may be invited for interviews
  • paid_pilot: Top solutions may lead to paid pilot projects
  • roster: Top performers join your talent roster
The Challenge Workflow

1. Create Brief (Draft Status)

Fill out all required fields in the Brief Editor. Your brief will be saved with status "draft".

2. Submit for Review

Review your brief and click "Submit for Review". The status changes to "review" and an admin will review it.

3. Admin Creates Challenge

Once approved, an admin will create the challenge from your brief, setting dates, prize amount, and rubric version.

4. Challenge Goes Live

Participants can now apply to your challenge. Teams are auto-matched and work begins.

5. Review Submissions

Teams submit their work after 2 weeks. You and mentors score submissions across 5 criteria.

6. Select Winners

Top teams win prizes. You can invite top performers for interviews, paid pilots, or add them to your talent roster based on your chosen pathway.

Scoring Submissions

As an SME, you can score team submissions along with mentors. Submissions are scored across 5 criteria:

Problem (20%):How well the team understood and defined the problem
Strategy (25%):Quality of the approach and solution strategy
Execution (30%):How well the solution was implemented
Evidence (15%):Quality of proof, metrics, and validation
Teamwork (10%):Collaboration and team dynamics

The total score is calculated using a weighted formula. Top teams win prizes, and you can identify talent for your chosen pathway.

Best Practices

Be Clear and Specific

Vague briefs lead to vague solutions. Be specific about what you want to achieve, what success looks like, and any constraints.

Set Realistic Expectations

Remember, teams have only 2 weeks. Focus on achievable goals that can deliver value in this timeframe.

Provide Context

Include relevant background information, your company's mission, and why this challenge matters to your business.

Define Success Metrics

Clear KPIs help teams understand what you're measuring and help you evaluate solutions objectively.

Engage with Teams

While teams work independently, consider providing feedback or answering questions during the challenge period.

Follow Through on Pathways

If you choose interview, paid_pilot, or roster pathways, be prepared to follow through with top performers. This builds trust and attracts quality talent.
